Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Claused ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the service. These Terms apply to all users, whether you're a registered account holder or just browsing. We may update these Terms at any time with reasonable notice.
Description of Service
Claused is an AI-powered contract analysis tool. You upload or paste contract text; we return a structured analysis identifying potentially risky clauses, unusual terms, and negotiation suggestions. The Service is designed as an informational aid — not a substitute for legal counsel.

Accounts & Registration
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Claused. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at security@claused.com.
One Account Per Person
Each person may maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent token limits or refund policies is prohibited and may result in termination.
Tokens & Payments
Token Purchases
Claused operates on a prepaid token model. Tokens are purchased in bundles and consumed during contract analysis. All purchases are final unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Token Expiration
Tokens do not expire as long as your account is active. If your account is terminated for violations of these Terms, unused tokens are forfeited.
Refunds
We do not generally issue refunds for token purchases. If you believe there has been a billing error, contact support@claused.com within 30 days of the charge.
Pricing Changes
We may change token prices at any time. Existing purchased tokens are not affected by price changes.
Acceptable Use
You may use Claused only for lawful purposes. You may not: • Submit contracts you do not have the right to analyze • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our API • Use the Service to train competing AI systems • Circumvent access controls or rate limits • Upload malicious files intended to disrupt the Service • Use the Service for any illegal purpose We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain full ownership of any contracts you submit. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process your contract text solely to provide the analysis service.
Our Service
The Claused platform, including all software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of our Service.
Analysis Output
The AI-generated analysis output is provided to you for your personal or business use. You may share or use the output as you see fit, provided you understand and acknowledge the limitations described in our disclaimer.
Privacy
Your use of Claused is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We do not store your contract text after analysis is complete. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLAUSED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability — in such cases, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or for any reason at our discretion with reasonable notice (except in cases of serious violations requiring immediate action). Upon termination, your access to the Service ends and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules, with proceedings conducted in English.
